The Kelley Difference

You could make the case that accountability has always driven Kelley Construction. Founded in February of 1978, Kelley performed heavy industrial concrete work for some of the biggest names in the midwest: Ford, General Electric, Rohm and Haas, Philip Morris and many more. As a smaller company working for very large ones, there was only one way to compete: Do every job right, on time and on budget. Employing those same values, we began seeking commercial work and positioning Kelley Construction as a general contractor. The repsonse was overwhelming.

In the corporate world, word of our reliability spread, awareness grew, and new national customers followed even as we won repeat business from existing customers.

As we've grown, Kelley has maintained its philosophy of working with customers as partners on each project. The open and transparent manner with which we approach every project helps to ensure that we are all on the same team, sharing a common goal.

We have also seen demand increase for the design/build side of the business. This approach makes Kelley part of the owner's team from the outset, reducing risk and making the project more cost-effective.

Stability

Kelley Construction's divesity and national reach has afforded the benefit of not being reliant on the performance of a single market. This has allowed Kelley to build a financially strong and growing company. Conservative growth and not over leveraging ourselves has created the strong foundation and extensive bonding capacity that we maintain today.

Continuous Improvement Initiative

With the growing demands and fast paced environment that our clients are faced with today, we now more than ever understand the importance of service excellence, something that we pride ourselves on. In support of this prerequisite, we have set in place a Continuous Improvement Initiative (CI) to promote the significance of staying abreast of systems and practices that can increase operational efficiency and add value for our clients.

At Kelley Construction, our logo isn't the only thing that's green. Kelley Construction has a proven track record of LEED projects, including our own headquarters.

We have on staff a team of individuals with the knowledge and expertise to help our clients achieve their desired level of certification.
