Buckhead restaurant will reopen April 9; new Rocky’s location slated to open in May

Buckhead Mountain Grill restaurant in Jeffersonville is slated to re-open Monday, April 9, following a Dec. 4 fire that caused significant damage to the building. Co-owner Wes Johnson initially predicted the restaurant would be closed for a matter of weeks.

Kelley Construction Wins 2011 KEMI Destiny Award

Kelley Construction, a national commercial and industrial general contractor based in Louisville, is a winner of the 2011 KEMI Destiny Award presented by Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance (KEMI). KEMI is a mutual insurance company providing workers’ compensation coverage to more than 21,500 policyholders throughout Kentucky.

Kelley Construction poised to outgrow new headquarters

Kelley Construction Inc. president and CEO Joe Kelley told Business First last year that in hard times, it’s best to bet on yourself. His company made its wager by spending $4 million on a new headquarters. And now, the bet seems to have paid off.

The Kentuckiana chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. has announced the recipients of its 2010 Building America awards. MAC Construction & Excavating Inc. in New Albany, Ind., won the President’s Award and the Award of Excellence for work on the Warnock Interchange and Eastern Parkway improvements. An Award of Honor went to Kelley Construction Inc. in Louisville for work on The Magellan tank expansion
