Safety

Safety is our priority in every project we undertake. We cultivate a proactive safety culture, knowing it must be a primary mission both onsite and offsite. In construction, we all understand why we prioritize safety. Here we are going to tell you how Kelley Construction is proactive about safety.
Our Safety Commitment

Safety is Our Priority

At Kelley, staff members and service partners share a willingness to uphold the highest of safety standards which help us to provide the safest and healthiest work environment possible. We employ a full-time Safety Director and Safety Engineer as well as empower our on-site Superintendents and subcontractors to identify and rectify potential hazards. In addition, we are able to self-permit work to include confined space and hot work. We strictly adhere to DOT requirements for highway and pipeline work with many of our employees being OQ Certified for controlled tasks in pipeline maintenance.

Our Proactive Safety Culture

Safety Onsite

We conduct daily job safety analysis on every project daily project briefing. Work doesn’t begin until the safety checklist is complete and satisfactory.

Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

We prioritize safety offsite just as much as we do onsite–health management in addition to construction. The mind must be present on the job to keep the body safe. All Staff (office and field) are supported through our Employee Assistance Program.

Dedicated Safety Personnel

We employ a full-time safety staff, including a Corporate Safety Director. At the highest levels, safety is a primary mission.

Training Provided to Employees & Subcontractors

Our Safety Staff ensures we exceed our safety standards on a daily basis. Our safety program is robust, with regular field audits, hazard mitigation planning, and training sessions on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
