Project Overview

Kelley Construction secured the civil construction contract for a 250MW battery storage facility. This facility will enhance there liability and stability of the power grid, serving local customers during peak demand. This project showcases our team's ability to handle complex projects with multiple scopes of work, collaborating closely with our client throughout the project on execution strategies and constructability opportunities.

Kelley's scope of work encompasses the civil construction scope for the greenfield site; battery and substation equipment foundations, access roads, retention ponds, asphalt paving, firewater piping, and fencing. Our crew moved over 60,000 cubic yards of earth, nearly 20 acres of finish grading, 27,000 tons of stone, installed 438 battery foundations, poured over4,000 cubic yards of concrete, and completed 18,000 square feet of CMU wall.
