Kelley Construction was awarded the design-build, fly ash structure enclosure project for Louisville Gas & Electric’s Mill Creek Generating Station in Louisville, KY. The project upgraded existing infrastructure to improve operating efficiency and prolong the lifecycle of the equipment.
Kelley Construction’s technical expertise was able to provide a turn-key solution. This project included design, fabrication, erection, and assembly of a code compliant enclosure structure including all structural steel, siding and roofing for four operating units. Additional improvements included air piping, instrumentation, and a fire suppression system. Through close cooperation with the owner, Kelley Construction was able to maximize operational benefits and improve overall project value.
